Friday's Feast
Appetizer
Name a song you know by heart.

Just one? I know so many. How about "Fifty Nifty United States" from the old Schoolhouse Rock collection. Thanks to this song I can name all fifty states in alphabetical order in 15 seconds or less.

Soup
What will you absolutely not do in front of another person?

Scratch anything that may itch that is within the proximity of my underpants. Guys do it all of the time and it comes natural to them but girls seem to be able to stand the torture and avoid crotch scratching at all costs.

Salad
How often do you use mouthwash and what kind do you like?

I used to be a Scope Cinnamon User twice a day, but I have been getting Citrus Listerine because Gon likes it and there is no sense having two bottles of mouthwash cluttering our bathroom counter.

Main Course
Finish this sentence: I am embarrassed when...

This is a tough question. I used to get embarrassed all of the time, but now I don't seem to give a flying hoot about what anyone may think. How about....

"The last time I was embarrassed was when after I arrived at work I realized that my shirt was on inside out."

Dessert
What was the last food you craved?

Thin crust pizza with everything on top. I ordered two last night.

Have a great Friday and a Wonderful Weekend!

I agree it was HARD to decide on an appetizer today! I just picked a favorite! Your soup is definately right on! I had a hard time cookin' up a soup today -- but I would go with yours! I couldn't eat your salad though... sorry! No way! Nobody likes listerine at my house -- but if they did - we would definately be a two bottle family!!!

How come nobody has Amazing Grace on any of these lists Hoot? Don't noone go to church any more?
I'm sure they do Nanny, those just aren't the kind of lyrics that stick in your head.
Oh, I guess that AC/DC crap is just so much more memorable!
    Who's AC/DC?

I like the thicker crust pizzas (as you can tell from my butt!!). I really liked the Schoolhouse Rock videos. Of course, I remember them from when they were on TV the first time! .... My Hero Zero was one of my favorites.

I agree, it was hard to choose an appetizer and a main course. Could've made whole lists for both.

    Great feasting!

I will have to look at the song about the states because I memorized them the hard way. I love school house rock and we even bought the cd but when we got it home , it was the wrong one!

Sent by Dr. John, a guy who has too much time on his hands and thinks the rest of us do, too (just kidding...we love going to his link picks!).

Just me! Dr. John is making me stop home in the midst of marathoning this afternoon. I think I'll grab a cold glass of tea and a granola bar before I head out again.

About your soup -- my first year as a teacher, as my students performed to perfection a very elaborate song and dance routine for National Reading Week, one of the boys reached down, grabbed himself and started scratching away. His mother and I almost died.

To this day -- eleven years later -- before every performance I make certain the students understand where they can and can't touch themselves during our performance. I tell them to scratch what needs scratching and adjust what needs adjusting before we get out on stage!

Dr. John sent me to share that story. Wasn't that nice of him?

Ohhhhh... my favourite teacher of five years arrived to school with her jacket inside out... except I didn't notice... and someone else let her know.

She was all like, "Why didn't you guys tell me?"

I need to pay better attention to details.
