T13: Thirteen Things I Love About Savannah, GA

I - Idle Traffic. You could plan and leave an hour earlier to make sure you're on time, but why?

L - LOST star. Isabelle, the Sheriff to the "Others".

O - Otis. We have a mayor named Otis. Seriously, how many people named Otis do you know?

V - Vinnie Van Gogh Gogh's. The best pizza found in the Southeast.

E - Effingham. It taint Savannah, but close enough.

S - Southside. It's scenic and clean no matter what anyone says about it.

A - Al Jaffee, the writer and artist for Mad Magazine was born here.

V - Vernon River where I enjoy a different, spectacular sunset every evening.

A - Abercorn Street. Sometimes Idle, but often equal to the Audubon except there are stop lights. Just set your car radio to your favorite music station and make believe you're playing musical chairs.

N - Night Life. Whether it's the Blues you wanna sing or if you want to Disco Saturday Night Fever Style, there is a club downtown just for you.

N - Newspaper. Our local newspaper and staff totally rock.

A - Allgood. The only extermination service that actually works around here.

H - Hospitality and Charm. Savannah is the "Hostess City of the South."

If I could move anywhere in the US, it would be to Savannah. The hubs has a thing against humidity, though. :(

I do agree with the idle traffic. Over here, traffic is terrible. You can't even make so many appointments in a day. Traffic makes you spend most of your 8 hours on the road.
    Thanks for the visit.

I've never been to Georgia except driving through as a kid on our way to Florida. I've heard Savannah is a lovely city. Doesn't it have a beautiful historical district?

Also, loved the way you used the I LOVE SAVANNAH down the side to make your 13 points. Clever!

    Happy TT.

I've heard nice things about Savannah, but that traffic thing might do me in. Are the locals kind to bicyclists?

Happy TT and thanks for visiting! I hope you'll come back.

I spent a few days in Savannah during St. Patrick's Day in 1995. Our ship (Coast Guard) tied up right on the waterfront in the thick of the revelry. Wild partying crowds aside, I enjoyed the little bit of what I saw of Savannah a great deal.

What a gorgeous photo...it's been a long time since I've been to Savannah but it's truly one of the most beautiful cities. I didn't know it had so many nightclubs...you all love dancing huh? Awesome. I love southern American literature too...Pat Conroy has some settings, evena character named Savannah. Thanks for a little history of your beautiful area. Otis huh?

Aha! I found your blog :)

Every time I clicked the link from the comment you left on my blog, it kept loading up a non-blog site. It was a typo though, I fixed it in your comment and in my post =) Thank you for the visit!

Love the theme of your T13! Love the Eeyore in your banner, he's just cute as can be.
